Streaking Yankees rally in 9th to pull out win over Astros

Just like last October, the Yankees and Houston Astros engaged in another heavyweight fight this week.

These four games in four days at Minute Maid Park all were incredibly entertaining, intense and basically the closest thing you can get to playoff baseball in late April/early May.

Yankees mailbag: Are Florial, Frazier and Adams untouchable?

Earlier, the Yankees were up 3-0 after 6 1/2 innings and nine outs away from shutting out the Astros for the third day in a row.

Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka was cruising along and then….

There’s also some semblance of expectation placed on the trio of fourth-round-or-later wideouts (J’Mon Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown) who all come in at 6’3 or taller. The idea seems to be more size for Aaron Rodgers, and the task placed on those rookies is making the roster and contributing.

Without a pick until the third round, the goal for the Houston Texans was to find rookies to develop.

Stanford safety Justin Reid was one of the biggest steals of third round. He’ll enter a comfortable secondary featuring a new face in Tyrann Mathieu and get to develop while likely rotating in when possible.

It’s a similar story for another third-round pick, Martinas Rankin out of Mississippi State. He looks like more of an interior prospect at the pro level, but his job is to develop and break into one job or another if he can, and improve the line in front of Deshaun Watson.

What could have been: In Hue Jackson and GM Sashi Brown’s first season, the Browns could have kept the No. 2 pick and drafted Carson Wentz instead of trading for multiple draft picks. Instead, they Cheap Baseball Jerseys signed Robert Griffin III, kept McCown and drafted Cody Kessler in the third round.

Does it matter? Wentz is a franchise quarterback with the Cheap Blank Hockey Jerseys Eagles. Griffin, McCown and Kessler are no longer with the Browns.

Kevin Love, Cavs throw first-quarter haymaker to give Cleveland puncher’s chance in NBA Finals

For the first time in the 2017 NBA Finals, the Cavaliers threw the first punch. It was a six-minute punch that set the tempo for a fast-paced, physical, free-flowing, record-setting 137-116 victory against the Warriors at Quicken Loans Arena on Friday.

Kevin Love delivered the biggest blows in that first-quarter run and a few more afterward as part of a 23-point performance that included 6 of 8 shooting from 3-point range. The Cavaliers nailed 24 3-pointers, a NBA Finals record.

“They make me feel good,” Green said. “They show me how important I am to them. They be at home thinking about me. If you come to the game chanting my name, you at home thinking about me. So shout out to them, thanks for the love.”

Of course, it was not all love from Green. He was reminded that he nearly got a second technical foul for his overreaction to a call in the third quarter. The arena PA system played Ray Charles’ “Hit the Road Jack!” in anticipation of his ejection. Green played up to the crowd, waving his hands and encouraging more chants.

NBA FINALS: Here’s why Draymond Green wasn’t ejected from Game 4

But Green said he knew he had not been given the T on the previous tech that had been assigned to him in the first quarter. That foul was retroactively assigned to coach Steve Kerr.

And Green will have something going for him next week that he did not have in last year’s series: He will be able to play in Game 5 this time. Last year, Green was suspended for Game 5.

“Thank God I get to play on Monday,” Green said, before Cheap China NFL Jerseys smiling and Cheap Blank Hockey Jerseys adding, “Hopefully.”
